I have bought and tested the following adapters and found them to work well when connecting the Boya BY-M1, MOVO LV1, and Vidpro XM-L lavalier microphones to smartphones and Zoom Handy recorders. Nonetheless, the TRRS to TRS adapters should work with other devices that can provide Plug-In power via a 3.5mm TRS mic input socket. . For a very small outlay, these adapters expand the creative options with your lavalier microphones.
Since all of these microphones do not have a battery status indicator, using plug-in power from the recording device is advantageous. You will no longer need to worry about the microphone’s internal battery dying in the middle of a recording.

The Kinsound USB-C to 3.5mm headphone Jack adapter has a built-in DAC chip that allows up to 384khz-32bit Hi-Fi sound quality. The Amazon listing says this adapter is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S22/S21/S20 Plus, Pixel 6/5/4, iPad Pro, OnePlus, and Motorola. However, I have also used it with my Samsung Galaxy A52 and A53-5G. I suspect the adapter will provide wider compatibility.

Adapters for Cameras, Camcorders, and Audio Recorders
These TRRS (female) to TRS (male) microphone adapters allow the connection of lavalier microphones with 3.5mm TRRS jacks to cameras, camcorders, and audio recorders that have 3.5mm TRS mic inputs. These adapters can also allow the Boya, MOVO, and Vidpro lavalier microphones to be used with recording devices with 3.5mm mic inputs that can supply plug-in power.
One piece TRS Male to TRRS Female Adapter
Although this adapter is smaller than the Rode SC3 adapter, it performs the same function. Since it is an all-in-one unit, once you plug in the microphone jack, the adapter and mic jack protrudes significantly from the recording device. If this is a problem for you, the Rode SC3 may be a better choice since the TRS jack has a 90° elbow.

Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS to TRS Cable Adaptor Microphones with smartphone jacks
I know from personal experience that the previous adapter works. However, it is an unbranded item and I know that many people like the reassurance of buying a known and respected brand. I’ve therefore included this Rode SC3 connector. It does the job well, and I’ve never had any issues with the item.
I particularly like the Rode SC3 connector when attaching my lavalier microphones to my Canon EOS R and R6 cameras. The 90° elbow plug does not obscure the vari-angle camera screen when I have it flipped forward for self-recorded YouTube videos.

This Y-splitter will connect your smartphone lavalier microphone to recorders with a 3.5mm TRS mic input. Plug your lavalier microphone into the female end of the adapter then plug either the headphone jack or mic jack into your recording device. When using a self-powered Boya, MOVO, or Vidpro lavalier microphone, use the jack marked with a headphone symbol, and have the mic switch in the Camera position. When using a Boya, MOVO, or Vidpro lavalier microphone without a battery or with the mic switch in the OFF/Smartphone position, turn on the plug-in power on your recorder, then insert the jack with the microphone symbol into the recorder’s mic input.
